Permitting and construction supervision associated with the removal of the partially constructed and abandoned section of I-95 through the Rumney Marsh in Saugus. Sand removed from the abandoned highway layout in Saugus was transported to Winthrop Beach to restore the beach profile and provide improved storm damage protection. REC is presently assisting DCR with the permitting associated with the restoration of approximately 30 acres of salt marsh made possible in part by the removal of this sand.
