REC is providing long-term monitoring of the impacts to sensitive salt marsh resources along the Merrimack River from the expansion of the Whittier Bridge currently under construction.  Work includes biannual GPS mapping of the extent of salt marsh, the density and quality of vegetative cover and evaluation of shading from the widened bridge span.
